The GT-R will smoke any SHO... no competition.

This particular GT-R didn't smoke my SHO. The guy just couldn't drive it. I own a 10 sec car and they are **** your pants scarry if you aren't use to it.

Since that thread is going nowhere, have you seen the new Alpha 9 GTR? Wow Veyron competition that would smoke Zr1 and other supercars...

Hard to drive a GT-R poorly, AWD and semi-auto trans make it almost fool proof. Driving my GT500 I never get into it all the way when playing with slower cars. I like to tease. Then they go tell their friends they kept up with a GT500 and their friends call BS.

Ya, I do the same in my Shelby..... Just tease um enough to see them smile... I hit it a bit more and leave um with a tear. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! (all within the speed limit of course, yup)

Been playin with the Sport mode (tapping twice fast mode) and the hold the button around 10 sec mode, And I do notice a big difference. Seems like more power to the wheels and the way it handles is different as well. was able to break loose the tires. Very surprised and happier driving. I must say I am very pleased with this car.

But when you line next to me with your Shelby or GT500 at a red light, sorry, you are no match. I can reach speed limit, put my flasher pass in front of you and put my flasher again to turn on the next street... Time after time, driver after driver. With street tires, they have too much power and their 0-60 doesn't give justice to their powerful engine... Too much car for the wheels as they say. With 0-60 of 4 seconds or less, many of us Gen4 owners with a few mild mods are capable of making owners of sport cars sweat! And it is a lot of fun. All within speed limits... for real ; )

On paper the GT-R should rape almost everything with a good driver. But who buys $80K cars? My buddy sold a Ford GT to a wealthy guy and he couldn't even drive it for the test ride cause it was manual.

Everyone talks about how the GTR's are so nasty fast in every sense of the word. I seen my buddy's C6 Z06 destroy one on the interstate last year...closed road of course ;)

I guess you'll have to define "destroy". Being AWD, it's not an "ideal" freeway car. The car was built with more than high speed straight runs. However, put an OTS tune on it and watch it go.

Heads up! I just purchased an entire GT-R drive train from a roll-over... Having it fitted to my Brick as we speak. NO more shutdown issues... Figuring it should be a mid-11 rocket!
