My engine just quits sometimes.. mostly when I am stopping out of gear or turning out of gear... it did it a few months ago twice but in the past 3 days it has done it twice a day.. is this signs of the fuel pump going out or maybe a baffle in the gas tank being broke lose?

Turn your key to the "acc" position of the ignition and listen for the fuel pump. Does it make a consistently pitched whine? Or does the pitch fade and become lower? That might be a sign that the pump is on the way out. Does the car just cut out after it has reached closed loop mode and then just die? To me that sounds like classic cps failure. I would start there. Scott over in Richardson can do that repair if you can't. I would bet on that one first tho..THEN look to fuel delivery issues if the pump whine like I described is fading.....good luck..

You should try to reset the idle speed program before doing anything else. It sounds like the idle air control valve is not picking up the rpms on lift throttle.

Yes and it also sounds like a problem a few lpm users were experiencing recently also. Of course you would not have one in a '90 unless you swapped computers.

if the crank pos sensor is going bad won't that sometimes cause the car to die but still start back later. A friend of mine had that problem with his and that was the culprit.

Yes. But so will a failing fuel pump or relay module or... Try the logical and easiest stuff first and eliminate methodically.
Besides it doesn't seem to be stalling in all situations. Looks like it's hunting for idle. The crank sensor will cut out all over especially at increasing revs.
