I like how some of you keep bashing SHO SOURCE on when the kit will be finished. Good products take time.
:)

Let's flip the script. Do you have your deposit ready? When will you be making a deposit? When will you have your final payment ready? I want, I want, I want. Uh oh, I have no money.....:theyareontome:

I agree with you all the way Brian because a lot of people talk the talk and generate all this interest for something and when it actually comes through, all the hype is gone.
I would like to know when you guys are collecting deposits? And how big of a deposit is needed? I am all in on this one, thanks SHOsource.

We will collect deposits when we have a price. My guess is around $500 for the deposit.

We are still working on the piping, it is just taking some work as we are finding the best route with the location we have.

What boost levels were you thinking? I would think that 350chp would be very easy to attain with boost. I understand, of course, that it is probably a low boost set up. You wouldnt want people blowing up there otherwise stock shos. Im sure with a little tweaking the hp # would jump up very quickly. Just kinda thinking outloud.

Jeremy
Shooting for around 350 at the crank and the price will be determined once we have the piping done.

I went to the place it's being built for other reasons (getting a motormount re-welded...the guy is just that good, and I won't go anywhere else for anything exhaust or welding), and I saw it so far. I can tell you the pipe bending it top notch, and once done, it'll be a weekend install. This is being well thought out, and give Matt, Kurt, and Mike props. No pics, because it's not my place to post up something that isn't mine.

theoretically 8 psi could yield 341 chp and 9 would net 356-357 depending upon whether or not you round a half a horsepower up.

Interesting. Is there a mathmatical formula for figuring this out? I was kinda going by what other boosted shos were putting down (though I know boost levels vary from car to car). So 9psi would get you in the 300whp range, depending on drivetrain loss. Interesting.

If everything is correct.... My car on a base tune made 288whp/350wtq.

Oh, and for the dreamers, I can guarantee the base price being at least $3000. <----- Being nice.... Probably more like 4-6k

every bar of boost(14.5038 psi) should in theory double the output of the motor.

220 * (14.5/9). some may think that 14.5/9 is backwards but you are left with a number less than 1, so multiplying results in a smaller number than you start with. the long way is (220*(9/14.5)) + 220. and you will find that it yields the same answer.

Thanks. I figured there was a simple formula, just didnt know what it was.

There has been lost of progress!

The exhaust portions are complete! They look great.

The intercooler has been fitted and looks very good as well. We are working on the intake piping as well. We just got the hoses in for fitting up the intake piping.

Just need a few things to come in like fittings and BOV.

The water and oil lines will be next.

No pictures yet as we want to show a complete setup. It is shaping up to be really nice though. :naughty:
