Out in front!
Anything over 8psi in first is a waste. Anything over 14 and wheel spin is a problem in any gear over 6000rpm. Just my experience. Boost does turn your Taurus into a Bull. True story.

I figured they were shooting for a lower power level because it will be sold as a bolt on kit for the average (stock) sho. To do this and not get a bunch of "You blew up my motor" accusations, they would probably keep the boost in the 8psi range. This would give the end user more margin for error in the tune/non-forged piston area.

Beyond the 8psi range it would have a disclaimer of "Change at your own risk".

From the math, 8psi will give you a 57% HP increase at the crank ( 8/14=.57). That means my SHO (296 CHP) would be in the 465 CHP range (296x1.57=465). Of course this is all strickly hypethetical (sp?) and does not account for alot of other factors such the reduced timing being run with boost, the aggressive NA cam profile which can negatively effect the HP output as well and the ability of my exhaust to flow that much.

Or atleast this is what I would speculate.

We will probably have different "levels" just need to get things running which I will be working on it tomorrow. The catch can is mounted and the oil line is in.

I do have some other ideas from other boosted guys that will help with the launches but that will be for a later date.

I know. Remember our conversation at the convention? :naughty:I was just messin with ya a little bit.:laugh_ti:

Well, they work well. One of the faster boosted gen1/2 SHO's here is a remote-mount setup. The onset of torque plays nicer with 3rd gear as well.

I always felt there's more that could go wrong and there's a greater distance with a smaller pipe diameter which in theory, more chance for boost leaks. Working on them can be a PITA because there is so much piping and vacuum line.

If people ever read the first page of a thread instead of jumping to the last page and posting questions they would know its most certainly not a rear remote set up. Not trying to sound like a **** but if your curious about the kit why not take a few minutes to read the the whole thread ?

Scott's remote set up defiantly made power and he didn't have to many issues with it. Last time I talked to him he had spun a rod bearing at a track day.

The first page of the thread says nothing about a remote mount, I have read this thread befor I post but there wasnt alot of info the the setup and like I said before in my personal preference. I would not want a remote mount turbo, I know the remote mount scott made worked well, but along with the remote mount come more materiel and with almost anything more stuff means more money. Logically I never understood why no one replicated the SHOshop kit, How much were they when they came out?

Shoshop never made a turbo kit.

Someone already asked in this thread if they planned on a remote kit , answer was no.

Fpsdoug made a rear remote mount kit a while ago, I think it was like 5k .

What did you have to do for injectors, Besides modified fuel rails ?

I've made 42# injectors fit stock fuel rails but I think it's probably a better idea to modify the fuel rails.

Josh has been turning down Accel injectors to fit the stock rails for some time. What exactly needs to be worked on the injectors? Not raggin', but that's not really new territory.
