They are all the same size (front and year)for all years of SHOs. The Gen 3 rear bushing is a very good design. Otherwise I would just get some solid aluminum ones.

Get Gen three ones if you dont buy solids for your gen 1. A much bigger and better design

ever see a rear bushing where it contacts the car? on a gen 3 its over 3" in diameter and has metal **** to dig in.

on the Gen 3 there are 2 small knub's that you file off, they are plastic. made a world of difference on my worn out 92 with 182k. now to get the rest of the crappy suspension out of it.

Also while your there and thinking about swaybars, and bar bushings you may want to locate a Gen 3 FSB. Again a much better redesigned unit, besides Nimz can anyone else tell me why?

If that's the case then I'd hate to have a Gen I or Gen II bushing. The front Gen III bushings suck. I just put the aluminum bushings in the front because they were done. They were probably about done when I bought the car (at about 46k miles, now at 79k miles).

Too late. I already ordered two sets of Police front bushings. I don't have tho money right now for the aluminum ones :(

When I do have the money, I'm planning on going through the whole suspension.

Someone mentioned using hockey pucks as bushings.
He was kidding right?
Honestly? You could probably get away with it...

You never realize how cheap those bushings are...until you replace them. I was missing the entire upper half of the bushing.

As for changing them, you need a floor jack, jackstands, a 1/2" breaker bar,18-19mm socket, and shallow 10mm socket, or a 10mm wrench. Very easy, if teh bolts come right out. I managed to change the front bushings last night in about 1 hour.(maybe less)
