SHO repair north of NYC?

Is there anybody who is a knowledgeable SHO mechanic north of New York City in the Westchester County area or close by? Son has our SHO up there with a fuel related no-start condition. It's been sitting in the lot of a supposedly reputable shop run by a mechanic who supposedly owned a SHO, and who has worked on it before with good results. He seems unable or disinterested this time around. He diagnosed CCRM and/or ECU issue; we've sent him replacements of both, but no progress since. Getting frustrated because it's been there since September, mostly sitting. Time to move on.

Were the units installed? Those 2 parts can easily be swapped in, even by a skittish never turned a wrench person. Only advice is to try and contact active members in the big apple sho community (maybe even by message for options) or send a message to Ron Porter who runs the sho club and see if he has ideas. He has a better idea of active members around the country than most. We used to keep recommended sho repair places around the country on the old sho club site. That was way back in the day but maybe some are still valid shops with experience?? Again maybe Ron has access to that?

Any specific behavioral details that we could help with?
I just went through this with my '91, which started with a couple years of hesitation and misfires.
It still misfires if sitting for a long time (only at steady highway speeds?!?) but when I run it daily it is a very smooth ride.
Fixes in order of last to first:
Gas Tank (had a pinhole at the top)
ECU
Fuel injectors (with new manifold gaskets)
Valve Adjustment
Cam Sensor
Plugs and wires
Plugged vent 'T' near lower radiator mount

Note, it still has bad valve seals, so it 'loads' with oil after a hard run then sits. It takes a couple tries to start it after.
I live on the other side of Hartford, CT, so I'm not in an easy position to help. Now, if this was 1992, I lived in Dutchess County and rented 1500 square feet of a 200 year old barn to work on all sorts of cars (From Capri to Yugo, but oddly never any Chevy other than my personal Suburban) including my first '89 SHO.
