my problems seem to come one after the other. First it was two motor mounts. Then it was locked up front caliper. Then came the clutch, and then the power steering pump. Next was the left CV joint, then immediately after that a spun rod bearing. Do the problems ever stop?????

If you are the original owner and your SHO has over 200K then you are where you should be. I can only say that listening to your SHO can prevent these things occuring all at once...it took some time for them to reach the totally dead state they are in....
After 200K, it is what-patty-shot-at as to how well you did the maintenance before that point...get what I mean...
If you inherited someone else's problems, then you get their nightmare.
We will help you raise your SHOchild in any way possible, parenting is never easy and the rewards are very personal.

Some of those conditions can probably be attributed to previous owner abuse and neglect. Let the buyer beware.

I feel your pain. When I started having trouble with my car, it seemed that it was just one thing after another. Finally, I got the problems pretty much solved.

It could be worse.

A little girl is walking down the sidewalk, a guy pulls up next to her and rolls down his window, says "Hey little girl, if you get in the car, I'll give you a lollypop" The girl ignores him and keeps walking. He pulls up and says "Hey little girl, if you get in the car, I'll give you TWO lollypops!" The girl still ignores him, he pulls up and says "Hey little girl, if you get in the car, I'll give you the whole bag of lollypops!" The girl stops, turns toward the car, puts her hands on her hips and says "Listen Dad, you bought that damn Toyota, YOU can just ride in it!" burn_out

I very rarely have had any problems with my 91 in the last 4 years since i`ve owned it.I got it from the original owner, and i too think that how it was previously used plays a key role.
