Since i can't post anywhere else I guess i'll post here.

First off i'm new here.

But I have some questions. I'm going to be owning a 92 SHO
very soon here.

I was wondering. If i'm going to go for speed and performance.
What is the first mod is should put on it. Thats not TOO terribly expensive.
Or just a list of what i should do first. (The car is stock i'm assuming)

Performance wise, a new y-pipe is a good investment. The stock one is highly restrictive, and the performance one has high flow cats.

welcome, first mod, MAINTENANCE. Do it, you will thank me in the end. The car will run a lot better and for a long longer. After you have done ALL of the maintenance, yes a y pipe is the best first mod for an mtx sho. There is a group buy going on now for a nice equal length pipe right now for a pretty good price, I suggest you get in on it

I'm going to agree with Nick here and say that you should do the maintnance first.

After that I suggest:

1. 96 break upgrade
2. Catless y pipe
3. Big bore butterflies
5 Extrude honed intake
6. Zex is going to be the best bang for your buck. Although filling all of those bottles can get expensive!

first things first,get on that y pipe group buy NOW before its too late, later you will wish you had one.......

then when you get the car do the rod bearings

replace your brakes if they don't work good, get better tires if yours suck......

fix all leaks on car

fix all check engine light problems

fix loose rod shifter bushing problems if it has any

then start doing some more mods

Aluminum subframe bushings, 94-99 neon front strut tower bars on ebay are cheap and can be made to work on our car... front or back, the front neon bar works anywhere... I suggest back first

check out your swaybars and get a good combo if your mismatched

fix engine mounts if any broken


do all this and your SHO will be riding pretty good......

then you can figure out what all else you need
