Correct, 13's and up use LED's, and No, they won't just pop right in, as a replacement.

You'd have to pick up a trunk lid from a '13 up (in addition to the complete inner and outer assemblies) in order to make 'em work in a '10 - '12.

Plus the proper wiring etc.
