SHO in this week's Car Tech Podcast

The SHO is the headliner for this week's edition of CNet's CarTech podcast. I haven't listened to it yet, but the title looks promising:

the sound in the background kind of reminds me of my dad's Mark VIII LSC - which is surprising. Nice growl to it

The SHO review starts about 3/4 through, you'll hear them talking about the S2000, and then after awhile you hear the SHO's engine and thats when the SHO review starts.

Really good review of the audio system, really critical of Bose stereos. Good review of the interior overall. Sounded iffy on the handling, praises for the engine and straight line performance.

They said they want the engine in the GT-500. With 425 and a 6 speed manual, it'd make a helluva SVO!

I read this from the CNET review in there:

"...the car hit 30 mph in 1.9 seconds. 50 mph only took 3.8 seconds, while the run to 60 mph came at 5.02 seconds. That is fast, and some time could probably be trimmed with a more rigorous testing procedure."

Wow! They got a really good 0 to 60 time. They make it sound like they could have broken 5 seconds.

It was also featured in the July 21st Car Tech Video podcast. ( http://cnettv.cnet.com/2001-1_53-50074640.html ) Cooley is a Ford guy, so I'm not sure why he said the SHO traditionally had an "exotic blown engine." Must've been a thinko...
