Huh?

I assume that you don't have traction? Get some decent all seasons or dedicated snow tires for snow use. SHO's do pretty well in the snow.

SHO's aren't my first choice to drive in the snow; I'd take an Explorer or my Jeep over it any day. That said, you haven't had a white-knuckle driving experience until you've driven a Turbo Coupe with ****** tires. It took me over an hour to get home from Wauwatosa last night :bonk:

:nono:

I just turn the radio up louder :nut:

Actually, it wasn't too bad. I'm sure a decent set of snow tires would do wonders for the handling of the car in snow, but there still isn't much weight over the rear wheels.

I had a few occasions last night of the back end wanting to kick out, but I corrected it before it became a problem. I was also following a SN-95 'stang GT up the freeway, so we were pretty much in the same boat

Yeah, I've got Dunlop High Performance all season (great in dry and wet, excellent feel at 100mph+) and also trailer hitch, which I think makes the back too stiff, causing it to slide around a lot. I want to get snow tires, but it's so late in the season I'm just waiting til next winter. Planning on Slicers and summer tires, then put snow tires on these 96-99SLO rims. Just put that original post as a funny thought that entered my mind upon hearing 10 inches of snow expected.

LOL! Thats funny! I had an 85 TC when I lived in Baltimore and had a snowstorm come in a couple days before I was to goto a buddies house and throw some good skins on. Almost ended up in someones front yard when I crested a hill in my neighborhood and pushed the clutch in a microsecond too late and the back wheels locked up from the tranny(thats how slow going it was). All I saw was the headlights from the truck coming the other way!

comparing a 94' VW Jetta with wider tires and that were wrong season than recommended, and an 93' SHO with yokohama 305 S (that are great i might add) Driving in snow with the SHO is unbelieveably better than with the jetta. Normally I cant get the jetta up the street, or into the alley with more than 1/2in of snow on the ground. :smash: With 3 inches already on the ground, and pileing up fast, the SHO handled great. It even drove up onto our concret slab my dad calls a Driveway. It was wonderful

Yeah, being up in the UP for school, my SHO has seen 7 inches + on the roads with only all seasons on and handled allright. Better than i thought, but will definately go with Blizzak's next winter. Don't worry it has been sitting in a garage most of the time.
