Hey guys... I'm not sure if this is the best forum for this or not... but here goes:

The late model SHO is in only ONE racing game series that I know of (Forza), but that's on console only. So, I thought it would be fun to introduce the SHO to different racing games that supported game modding. I've started with a medium sized mesh (show below, very much a work in progress).

Anyone want to participate? Anyone into game modding or have any artistry they want to use to bring our rides to gaming PCs everywhere?

Haha although I'm good with computers I haven't really done any game design. I did have forza 4 on xbox and had a couple of SHO's. They were fun ;) one had a 5.4 gt500 engine with like 900hp and then a built Ecoboost with 650. It would be cool to see it in more racing games. What were you thinking? Like just share it with a racing game developer and ask to include it? I just got the new forza 5 and there's no more SHO :(

Initially, my original plan is to throw it in Assetto Corsa. That game is highly moddable, even contains SDK and tutorials. It's a pretty decent racing simulation, not yet perfect, being still in alpha. Once the primary 3D & texturing work is done, it could really be thrown into any game that can be modded, even if through sundry hackeries. ;)

I would certainly allow any developer to officially use it in a game, but for them it's usually more about licensing from Ford rather than creating the content. (Licensing is the bigger obstacle.) However, fan created and distributed content is always legal under fair use. (No licensing/trademark royalties involved.)

So, as for me, I've written games before (I'm a software developer and also an artist), so I know that these things take a HUGE amount of time for any one individual. What I was hoping for, if someone wanted to participate, is to have someone that can do the leg work on the technical aspects (don't need any game authoring/modding experience for that), and someone MAYBE to texture the model. I use ZBrush which is great for both modeling and painting direct on the surface for perfect texturing, but as long as the texture matched the UV map, it wouldn't matter how it was made really.

Anyhow, making progress on the SHO mesh as time permits:

Hey, that's actually a pretty decent model... makes me think my headlights need to be re-done... they're a little sloppy
