So I was detailing the SHO again last night (3rd time now that I keep telling myself no more black vehicles) and what is with the carpet? Its like its velcro and refuses to release any dirt that's in it. I use a high capacity, high suction shop vac when I clean my cars but I've never had this kind of difficulty. I easily spent an hour just vacuuming and I live in southern california so it wasn't THAT dirty to begin with.

Yeah, my carpet has a rather nice collection of white Dalmation hair that comes off our clothes, and it shows like crazy. I found that using a piece of duct tape wrapped in a circle inside out makes a nice sticky that will put most of the hair out of the carpet that doesn't come up with the shop vac...just one note, I had the same problem with the black carpet in my Lincoln...but not enough to give up the dog, she's a great companion.

I purchased Weathertech floor mats for the SHO, also had them in my Mark LT, I really like them. They are custom fit to the vehicle and with sides they don't allow moisture to get to the carpet. I got the gray ones in the SHO, and they seem to stay a lot cleaner then the black ones I had in the Lincoln. I also like the fact that they fasten to the anchors and don't move. Only downfall is they are not carpet, but they sure protect the carpet, and I don't think they detract from the looks of the interior.

What I really want are the Nifty Catchall Carpet mats, which hold a gallon of crud/stuff. Also have a nice big heel pad in plastic/rubber

They keep saying they're in progress but thats been over a year now. I got tired of waiting and got the Lloyds instead.

I'm not familiar with the Lloyds, but have the Catch-All Mats in our Explorer and they are very nice.

Mark, are they all-weather mats that are like the optional ones? I've got those coming with my car (included) and wondering how good they are.
Your weathertech's bought local or ordered?
I also know Lloyd's and they're nice -- tho probably more dough.

They are a plastic type mat and awesome. I have had them for 3 vehicles and very pleased with them. They are made in the USA and the best customer service you could ask for. Weathertechs can be ordered right from their site.

Thanks Bill.......I'll first see what I'm looking at with the included floor mats plus the optional winter mats that I had them include in my deal and see what I need.
I've heard many good things about weathertechs and your good testimonial adds to that.

Thanks,
C.

I have the Husky liner floor mats and I LOVE them! They are like the weathertech and are an exact fit for the SHO. Great for our extended winters here in Alberta...... :)

I had the Husky liners in my 98 F-150 and I thought they were great, stood up to 11 years of abuse and never showed much wear. Even years of having my duty boots on them they still looked good. I do like the Weathertech a bit better, they just fit perfert and look a bit classier. However, they are more expensive then the Huskys.

NO I ordered them from Weathertech. No one in my area carries them or I would have bought locally. Also, I'm thinking that Weathertech tightly controls price to consumer from the dealers, so I couldn't find any discount. I think for the front and rear custom formed mats and a cargo area cover the price was about $270.00. I was particularly interested in having a rubber trunk mat...lots of wet scuba gear ends up there and it's nice to have the wet on the rubber and none in the trunk itself.

Sounds like you got exactly what I ordered last night (from WeatherTech)
I also ordered their "TechShade" which was expensive but looked very good and useful.
I sure hope this car comes. I'm amassing quite a pile of mods along with spending a little dough. :p

The Tech Shade is a bit on the expensive side, but it is custom fit and does have a 3 year warranty. Besides, I'm betting it will perform as advertised, I have never been disappointed with a Weathertech product. I'm sure it will be much easier to place and remove then the generic 2 piece windshield screen that I'm using. You have to wrestle the darn thing in and out of the windshield and need an engineering degree to figure out how to refold it!

LOL, well put and appropriate.....hahahaha.

Yes that shade I ordered was $99!!! which is the most I've ever paid for one of those... I hope it's as good as it's price is high. I'm sure it will be. ;)

It must be very well fitting and very user friendly as you say.
Can't wait to get it and try it.

Did you solve the carpet issue in the SHO? It seems that the dog hair really embedded itself in it and vacuuming was very difficult. Do you try to vac more often?
