Shifter??? Bent???

Is it even possible to bend your shifter? I was racing someone then it felt as if i bent my shifter. Now it sits kind of weird dont know what happened anyone have any idea. Has this happened to anyone else before ?????

Mighta snapped one of the studs that holds the rod shifter on if you have a rod shifted car. Get under it and see if the shifter itself crooked.
