I am guessing noone has tried this before. I am happy with the length of he shifter. I have seen other shifters from automatics and I swear those things are at least a foot long. Looks like the car has a-...well that is saved for other forums. But you get the point.

What could possibly come out of shortening an automatic shifter? A manual is one thing, but an auto? Come on now, spend that time doing something worthwhile like rebuilding calipers or cleaning your intake runners.

The reason that I want to shorten the shifter is because of my radio. I would be more convenient to insert/eject a CD if the shifter was not in the way as much as it is. I have pictures if some can host them. Other wise you can go to my website and click on the link to page 2. Thanks
