Shift Problem????

My 93' with an auto has a rev limiter at 4k in neutral and park, And shifts at 4k in drive/overdrive. Is this normal? I think it might be the speed sensor. Any input will be helpful.

The rev limiter in park & neutral is normal. Not sure what you mean by shifting into OD @ 4k....you mean under normal, light acceleration it shifts at 4k? The shift point will vary depending on the amount of gas you're giving the car, but if it's always going to 4k and shifting even if you're on the gas lightly then you have a problem.
