How much is it for a shift kit and what is a good kit to buy? Also, when the transmission shifts so aggressively is it harder on it?

Sorry no info on prices or brands.

The shorter the shift, the BETTER it is on the transmission. However, the shifts can be so hard, you might damage other drivetrain parts like the CV joints. You shouldn't worry much about it being too hard as kits that do not modify the main control or remove accumulator springs will not make shifts hard enough to damage your drivetrain.

Check out this link for pricing info and a description of what's involved.

I put mine in over a year ago and love it. The only down side I've experienced is a broken motor mount. But the SHO is notorious for breaking motor mounts anyway. The LPM makes a small improvement, but the shift kit is the way to go.

If you install a tranny cooler you shouldn't have a problem with burning up the tranny.
