I like the look of those on the BMWs, but I am not sure how it would look on the SHO. I would say go for it then post pics.:munch::evilgrin:

hmmm. I don't know about putting it on a 92 taurus. It may look clean on a new bimmer, but I wouldn't dream of putting on on my 92. Reason being, on a bmw like this one...

...the roof starts to taper down at the back, so the fin is angled back somewhat. On a 92, it would be sticking straight up like Jaws.
If you do decide to try it out, would definately need to see some pics.

By the way the pic I displayed in my fist post is of Lincoln LS which has about the same roof line as a Taurus. Either way I don't think it looks too ricey!?! Anything looks better than the stupid defective pwr antenna stuck in the permenant up position!

I'm thinking of something similar. I need GPS, Wifi, and Radio and I don't want tons of antennas on the car. If you do it please post some pictures.

As far as the gps antenna goes, if it a perm mounted antenna you can mount it under the rear spoiler. I have my xm antenna there and have never had an issue.

I'm usually not a fan of adding anything to the outside of a car. I would go with an antenna that mounts to the inside of one of the car's windows. Is that BMW antenna for radio or satellite?

I've been thinking of switching to a shorter, powered attenae in the stock area to replace the POS looking, non working stock unit..... the key is finding something to confirm to the body lines of the Taurus at its base.......

I remeber awhile ago people having a group buy on one of these on a local forum and I'm sad I missed out

something like this:

just to throw some more ideas out there, I have seen a few antennas that just look like small blocks. Usually they are on the glass. I assume they are antennas, because when I have seen them there are never any other ones present.

you can get an antenna that is mounted inside the fender and works just as well as an external. they are kinda pricey though.

that bmw antenna is going to be an expensive ricer project. im sorry but i think it just looks really homosexual.

Thinking of eliminating my pwr antenna when I do my body work over the winter and going to a Shark Fin Antenna assem. I saw one on a BMW the other day and thought it would add a nice clean look!

What do you guys/gals think?

If you think it will look good, do it. Why cares what anyone else thinks? Its your car.

Whats the worst that could happen? People on the forum have cars that look much much worse, guaranteed.

Go for it.
