I've heard on the board that there is a recall for SFB on the SHO. Does anyone know if there are any exclusions or any other pertinent info on the recall? Thanks....

Go to/call your local FORD and give them your vin #. They will be albe to tell you if your recall has been done. If it hasn't they will do it for free :thumb:

It's not necessarily a slam dunk calling the dealer. Sometimes they like to claim that SHOs aren't covered under the recall(s) when they actually are. Maybe it has to do with the dealer's lack of appropriate information on the subject. Or maybe it has to do with something else, such as Ford "the corporation" trying to squeeze the dealer on reimbursment for warranty work of this kind.

You would do well to read up on the subject yourself:

Not covered?

So, being in washington state, I am not covered under the recall, right? In this case, is it worth buying the kits and doing it myself? I'm going to have the subframe off in a couple days to put on about $500 worth of hardware, unfortunately none of which is an upgrade (just trying to keep up with the natural downgrading process).

The Subframe Recall was a safety Recall, so I believe it should in affect no matter where you live. If the Dealership can do it for free then let them do it. If not, it's not that hard to do.
