Sevendust last nite...

Nick and I went to the Sevendust show last night... rawk!
It was great. I got a guitar pick. I squished my way up to the railing and Lajon smacked my hand twice. If I could figure out who the band is that played right before them, I'd download some of their music but I have no idea who it is and have searched and searched and can't find it. They are playing again tonight in Orlando with a band called "One" which I think may be it but... try googling for a "one band", "one music", "one rock band"... It's useless. If anyone else can figure it out, tell me!
They have four more dates in FL... if you like them, you should go.

Sevendust is playing here in Philly on the 16th, but it will be long after I leave for FL, and one of the local bands is opening for them. I just came from seeing them one last time before I move. I'd love to see this show because these guys are awesome, check out their site, they have at least one original song you can download, I'll have their CD when I make it to my first meet. They'll definitely warm up the crowd, if not take it over.

Cool! They are pretty good. It's gonna **** me if I don't find out who this other band was though.
First time I saw Sevendust was in '99 in Gainesville with Chevelle, back before anyone knew who they were. You just get a feeling about some bands before they make it big, ya know?

Sevendust is the next best live band I have seen besides Green Day. They kick total a$$ and win over the crowd year after year at Earth Day Birthday hosted by Real Rock 101.1. I cannot wait until the next one in 2005

p.s. I knew who they were back in 99 and after their 5th album they still kick major booty

Chris, you have to see them if you get the chance...they just have this vibe and their performance...I cannot describe it because it ROCKS. Well worth the cash. Awesome mash pits, chicks flashing their "stuff". Definitly one of my top 5 favorite bands. Never seen 311 but got their greatest hits the day it came out.

If you live in FL and don't like 311, there is just something wrong with you I think... it's like... an unspoken rule, you must like 311! I've never seen them live but Nick has and said they were good. I was just browsing ticketmaster and saw that Godsmack tickets are $85-125 in Orlando! That's almost like Metallica or something! I saw Godsmack back in Feb or March in Detroit for like $50. Nick dislocated his shoulder in the pit there and made me miss half the show b/c we had to go find the ambulance!

Sevendust has been the best concert I have ever been to...and I have been twice! They put on one heck of a show! I believe they are from somewhere in Indiana...they used play in Fort Wayne at the coleseum (sp?) fairly often when I was in highschool (5-6 years ago). Well worth the $$ if you ask me...

I saw Sevendust yesterday at the Buzz Bake Sale in WPB. They were a damn good show. They brought out the guys from Nonpoint to do one of their songs. The band One was playing there, but I didn't get to see them. They are a good band from South Florida and get a lot of airplay on the Buzz (local radio station that puts on the Bake Sale every year) . Some of the other bands that were there were Nonpoint, New Found Glory, Taking back Sunday, Story of the Year, The Used, Lost Prophets, Lit, KottonMouth Kings, Skindred, Presidents of the United States of America, Korn, and a bunch of other smaller/local bands. I'm not much of a Korn fan, but they were definitely an incredible show.

Actually they are from the Atlanta area, I went and saw them in Tallahassee last night at Floyd's! I have seem them four times now, and they do put on a heck of a show!

I was just searching stuff and this came up, so I had to revive this thread.

I LOVE Sevendust. Their my all time favorite and best rock band I have ever heard. They have so much versitility and talent no other band can match up to them especially when they come out with a new album and they keep getting better. I think the new Alpha album is the best album i have ever heard. Its so solid. I have heard alot of good bands though and have seen tons of them in concert. I am going to see Sevendust Aug 4th, and it will be my 3rd time seeing them. It seems my three favorite bands Sevendust, Shinedown, and 311 are mostly southern and dont get that much exposure up here. I guess thats why I like them so much.
