Ok, everything is going meh, until i hit the clutch.... And this is what i have to show for it...

Photo109

The lever is sitting up WAY to high for the cable to slide in.. This is scaring me, i hope nothing is jamed in tranny. IF i take a pry bar to it and use the tranny to get leverage, i can disengage the clutch, but its tooo high. i think the lever its self is bent, and i dont know how to fix it without breaking something inside the tranny, and for that matter release the clutch to slide the cable on...

What do you mean "high"??? Your picture doesn't really tell much.

If the arm is too high off the top of the tranny case, then you may have broken off the lower half of the TOB fork or somehow the fork managed to come out from behind the TOB.

If by "high" you mean forward, you have to release tension off the cable by having someone pull up on the clutch pedal while you extend the cable and slide it into the arm. Or you can use a block of wood or a bungee to hold the pedal up while re-installing the cable alone.

The tranny? There is a fill plug on the front facing side. You can open it with a 1/4in socket extension. Use a pump or a funnel with one of those accordian extensions.

you've got a lot of good choices for tranny fluid. Most popular seem to be Valvoline MaxLife dex/merc, Mobil 1, GM Syncromesh.....on and on. I have Mobil 1 in mine right noe, but I will be going back to Valvoline this summer. Every tansmission like different fluid it seems??

Mine seems to enjoy B&M Trick Shift a great deal.

Never ask the guys at advanced auto (or just about any other parts store for that matter) about anything SHO related. Ask us, and we'll tell you what to tell them.

Yea, i said sho and they looked at me like i had two heads. HA i even asked an ASE certified tech that was there and he had no idea... Sho's are rare i realize, but how do ASE techs not even know what kind of tranny fluid to use?
