I have a 95 auto. When revved up it sputters at 4000 rpm, doesn't do it when driving just in park?
I was told it was a sensor but can't remember which one, any ideas my SHO bruddahs?
Thanks!

Just to add to Paul's post its there for a reason so don't defeat it. Unless you like to R&R your tranny to replace the torque converter.

Lesse...theres a nifty quote around here in someone sig...cant remember who...

That rev limiter is there so you don't shred your transmission. It can be removed with a tune...

or something like that...

There is absolutly NO reason to remove/adjust the Park Rev Limiter. The other rev limiter however can easily be adjusted with a tune and to some degree not have any detrimental results.

Nope. It's perfectly normal for it to sputter (hit the limiter) when in park on an ATX. It's part of the programming in the computer. The other limiter that is mentioned by naval-avi8or that can be adjusted is the one for when you're driving. But personally, I see no reason to adjust that one either on a slushbox. An MTX car would be different.
