I need a bit of help ID'ing a sensor, I would post a pic but I dont have a digital cam.

Anyway.....I blew a coolant hose right after I got the SHO, and made an emergency roadside repair with plain heater hose from a parts store. Got involved with other issues (bad oil pressure!), forgot about it, and never got the proper replacement hose from Ford.

I came across the old hose in the garage today, and remembered why I saved it....it has a metal section, with a 2 wire temp sensor of some sort. Car seems to run fine without it, I have been driving it for a year wiithout it.

The hose is on the lower rear drivers side of the engine, about 1" diameter. At the time, I figured it was for the temp gauge, but the gauge still works so it must be for something else.

SO.....what is this sensor, and is it important??

CELO (Cold Engine Lock Out) switch for the ETAC.

Prevents the ETAC from operating the blower on high speed until the coolant has warmed up.

Prevents wind chill inside your car.

Thanks Steve, you're the man! :thumb:

I just fixed the heat in the car last week (blend door motor, took 9 hours and nearly a pint of Jack! :madflame: ), so I suppose I will plumb this thing back in to get the whole thing working right.

Mostly I'm just glad to have heat now! :)
