self powdercoating

i dont feel like spending money on paying to have my intake manifold powdercoated so i was thinking of doing it myself. anyone done this and how hard and what supplies are needed.

You do need an oven. You can use one one like your moms but do not ever use it for cooking again. You will also need the powder as well. I know a member on here did it but it take s some work and time. It is not worth it if it just for an intake.

ok thanks and well i can forget doing that myself, anybody got an intake manifold that powdercoated that will fit a 93 atx?

I will sell my intake, but not unless I get a very very decent price for it. It took me a very long time to mask everything before the powdercoat and to paint the letterings, as well as the runners are ported and it's BBB'ed.

I have some PC'd intakes I'm picking up this week, (mI had a set of 3 intakes/VCs done, smoked chrome on the outside and valve covers, and silver vein on the runners.. Email me and we'l work something out. :Thumb:
