it could also possibly be the vacuum became unattached???...i also believe on the backside of the intake there is a sensor and vacuum hoses that control the secondaries...i could be wrong...so dont quote me, go check those out and see, o by the way it's the small/large cansiter w/vacuum hoses connected to it and the sensor next to it...hope that helps and someone w/MORE xprience on this can help any more than my $.02

When i reinstalled my intake i accidentally switched the two hoses that connect to the black cannister behind the intake above the rear valve cover and that caused the seconderies to stay open, i switched them at a members suggestion and they work now.

Tony is correct, the little black cannister is a one way valve with a small filter on the inside. There are usually small colored dots, a white and a yellow next to the two hose connection points. First try reversing those two hoses.

The computer tells the little black solenoid to release the vacuum that holds the secondaries closed and the secondarys' shaft springs snap the secondaries open.

Make sure that you don't have the wrong wire plugged in for the secondarys. It is possible that the plug for the coolant sensor is plugged in by accident! If this is the case, it will "blow up" the computer!!! Trust me, I found out the hard way. :thumb:
