The power drivers seat on my '91 is very sluggish moving forwards and backwards. Is there a good (easy?) way to lubricate the tracks?

Thanks!

I would thoroughly clean them first with WD-40 and a toothbrush. Then coat the tracks with a bearing grease.

You could try white lithium grease or silicone dielectric grease. I like either since they are easier to clean out of the carpet than other types of grease.

I've found the silicone greases almost impossible to remove.

There are chain and cable lubes that has a cleaner in it.

Thanks for the responses. I took the seat out this weekend and OMIGOD. eek! There's motors and gears and linkage and... wow. Anyways, it's really tight under there; it appears that the seat tracks can be lubed if you use a needle applicator. Should I be worried about the linkage and motor? Anybody had any experience with the power motor system? Does Ford stock ANY service items for these seats?

Thanks.
