seat braket question

can corbueu seat brakets bolt to only the corbueu seats or any racing seat? whats the simpilist way of aftermarket seats without a shit load of fab work.

Ok, it is doable, but a lot of adjustments, so I would just pick up taurus seat at a junk yard and take those sliders off to modify the seat you want to put in. That would save a lot of time and maybe money(depends what's more valueble).
On the Other hand, I took factory SHO passenger seat apart and fixed up the part we sit on.

That said, you can weld on additional threaded tubes to get the spacing for say a Recaro.

Are you using tabbed or flat sliders? What brand of seat?

I think that would be easiest and best way to swap any seat into our cars.

I don't believe this is entirely true. I have Sparco seats mounted on Corbeau brackets. Having said that though, these brackets are fairly old and were made for Corbeau by a small third party. It's possible that they are no longer done this way and are made differently now.

Bill, now that I am further into this I think you are right - Corbeau and Sparco use the same spacing, it is the (aftermarket) Recaros that are the different (wider, 16" o.c.),

Remember the amount of force in accidents if you are welding brackets to the seat.
Be sure to use plenty of welds and make sure you are getting good ***********.
