I did a search, but didn't come up with anything that could help. Is their any way to repair a seat air bladder for the side bolsters on a gen I without replacing the whole seat? Mine will hold air for about three min., and then deflate.

Most likely you have a hole in a line or a bad connection at a fitting somewhere. The blatters themselves are very strong.

You can get to them from under the seat, and by unzipping the seat-back cover. thumb

Very tight in there though...

I had a similar problem. after fooling with it for hours rant i decided to remove the seat from the car.

made it much easier boink

Every problem I've ever had with lumbar involved the air lines. I used old seats to grab parts of air lines and put them all together.
Mine used to hold air for about 30 seconds, now it holds air for 8 hours. Next I'm shooting for a whole day!

Cool, thanks a lot for all the help. Looks like I have another project for this week end for my car. Are the seats a pain to remove with all the power crap in there, or is it pretty strait forward? Both seats are doing leaking at about the same rate (deflates in about 45 sec), but I could care less right now about the passenger seat. :) They can walk if they don't like it.

Easy as pie... It'll give you more room if you take the back seats out, too. Just lift up and back on the bottom portion of the back seat and then unscrew the brackets for the top half. You'll need a 19mm or 18mm to un bolt the front seats and don't forget to seperate the cables for the power controls. It'll help a lot and protect your car if you have someone to help you lift out the front seat too.
