I wanted to let the Forum members know that I will be away from my computer until June 3rd. I will be on South Padre Island windsurfing until I drop from exhaustion (work hard, play hard). I will be staying at my timeshare (shown in the first picture) that I had bought 15 years ago. All I have to do is get my family and my SHO (loaded with gear) across the 600 road miles down there to enjoy my week in the south Texas sun. I'll be back.

South Texas eh? Hmmm I'll be moving to Austin in a few months...maybe Texas won't be so bad after all thumbs_u

It's not [so bad]. Austin is a great city, it's big enough (about a million) to have most ammenities, yet doesn't get lost in the sprawl. Live music all over the place, an actual cultural identity, and great weather -- warm and sunny! Plenty of good lakes, and hills for fun driving. Plus it's close to three Real cities if you actually need something.

The only downside is that it's too dang provincial (but so is Texas).

Oh, and the LSSHOC is marvelously active. Join the mailing list.

Isn't South Padre the STD capital of the world. I went there for spring break my freshman year, good times, good times. have fun.
