Scuffed/Scratched Wheels/Hubcaps

Like an idiot, I drove into the curb in my 2010 SHO and scuffed/scratched the factory wheels/hubcaps. From searching the net, it looks like I have three options to fix it.

1.) Buy new wheels. I'm seeing prices from $200 to $300. I don't want to do that.
2.) Repair it myself. I found repair kits on Amazon for $10 to $30. They don't get great reviews and I am not too handy, but it has to look better than they look now.
3.) Hire a professional. It looks like people will come out and fix it at my home. I have no idea how much that costs.

Any opinions?

Too bad. I would at least get a quote for fixing them. It'll probably be in the middle. I, myself would not try it because I would probably make a mess. Good luck!

I had one of my wheels repaired. Looks like your in Orlando. If you give Brian a call at Parks Lincoln (service dept) in Longwood, ask him for the contact info for the guy that repairs their wheels. He did an amazing job on the wheel he repaired for me. Looked like brand new. If I recall, he charges $150 wheel.

That would suggest someone's figured out the factory paint code for the wheels. I remember a thread some time ago trying to identify the code, but I don't recall anyone knew what it was. I wonder if this guy would be willing to share....

Well isn't this just a real hum dinger of a doozy to find one's self in?

If it were me, I'd be using the curb rash as the foundation to purchase new, aftermarket wheels myself.

"Ummm yea honey, the shop can't balance the wheel properly cuz there's too much metal worn away, and well, umm, I hate to say this hun, but I gotta buy me a new set of wheels".

Discount Tire has the best prices I have found on TSW... wheels. Interlagos and Nurburgring are their light weight rotor forged styles.
