lately I have been getting screeching from the passenger side front of the car. It happens just as ther car starts for a second, also when downshifting to come to a light it does the same. I've also heard the noise when turning on my eatc. I had the belts (not timing as it was fine) done a couple months back, is it possible that they are too tight? It also only started once it got cold out, and it never continually screeches, just gives a yelp and goes away.

any insight?

thanks

your AC belt needs to be TIGHTENED.

They never get tighter with use... they stretch and become loose.

Tighten them up as needed thumb

Yep, tighten the belts.

Loosen the 14 mm retaining bolt, then adjust the tension with a 5 mm Allen. Retighten the retaining bolt.

Out of curiosity, how tight should you make that 14mm bolt? I tightened my A/C Belt about a month ago and it started to squeak again lately and I could have sworn I tightened that 14mm bolt real good shrug
