Scratchy Clutch

I know it sounds odd, but when I push the clutch pedal in it feels scratchy. It feels like its scratcing or rubbing against something when its half way down. Any Ideas?

that is grit that is built up on the sleeve that the TOB rides on. A few full depressions of the pedal should take care of it.

Hi All,
I am having a clutch problem too. I have a '91+, and it wont go into gear. The TOB sounds like its gone. When you push on the pedal it squeaks and whines. It is original, and has 112K on it. I have ordered a SHONUT kit, but have not received it yet. Thanks.

that's a TOB issue for sure. Mine does that also, but I know I got a dud TOB.
