You can get the '99 struts if you don't want the SARC ones. "99 rear struts are standard SLO struts. KYB makes struts for the SLOS too that will fit. Before you replace the ones you have do the bounce test. With the ignition off try to bounce the vehicle. If you cannot bounce the car they struts are still good but with the SARC active are too soft due to wear. It's easy to disable the SARC system.

I replaced my SARC struts with new ones at 80K. IMHO there was very little change in the strut performance. I currently have the ride height sensors removed so the struts are full hard all the time. They are an incredible strut like this. You could also cut the sensor ground wire on the SARC module. I removed the sensors as they are very noisy.

hey thanks for the reply

I have owned this car two weeks andam trying to
familiarize myself with its components. so far i like it,,its not anywhere near as fast as my turbo cars but, its a good car for my girl to drive and me to drive when i am sick of fiddling with my boost and whatnot. i am interested in the sarc switch if there is any info you could give me that would be great. i run konis on my daytona and my shadow so.. the softness in the SHO at low speeds i do not liek at all. i would rather it be firm. but the girl wants the option to set it back. squint women cant live with em cant live without em.. Thanks in advance

Personally I pulled the fuse for the SARC system so that the struts are always in full hard mode.
I only put the fuse in maybe 3-4 times a year for a day or so at a time.
I didn't care for the 'floaty' feel the car had at times. I personally prefer a stiffer ride if it means increased handling and decreased body movement.
