SARC problems?

Ever since I bought my 96 SHO it has seemed to have a really rough ride. It didn't bother me at first, but now it's driving me nuts. I did the bounce test the other day and it has no bounce at all. Its really stiff with the key on or off. The car has 60,000 miles on it, but I'm assuming that if the struts were bad it would be really bouncy instead of stiff. The steering has also been stiff since I bought the car and I thought I had heard that the shocks and the steering system were connected. If I drive my Super Coupe for a couple of days and go back to the SHO it feels like it doesn't have power steering in comparison. I checked the underhood fuse and it is good. What should I check next? Thanks

sounds to me that someone has done the SARC mod to have it stiff all the time look for a switch mounted somewhere......or you have a blown fuse for the SARC control.

They will hardly bounce at all if the key is off, even when bad.

I checked the underhood fuse with a meter (just in case I couldn't tell if it was blown) and it was fine. The bounce test is exactly the same with the key on or off. It does not bounce at all. Has anyone ever had a SARC computer (If that's what it's called) go bad?

I doubt that someone has modded this SHO, but it's possible. I don't see any switches, but what should I look for with the SARC computer? Extra wires or something? Thanks
