In my wish list, that someone would make a wider slicer.

Maybe something like this would work, split the rim make an extension and bolt or weld or both to keep it together.

Tony,

If you put any kind of extension in there, you would have to weld it... Just bolting it will cause it to leak.

There are people who will do it, but you will NOT want them on your daily driver.

Your much better off having a shop make a custom wheel in the slicer desgin. You can use a 2pc wheel to save $$$.

Why add pounds to your sneakers? I mean Rims?

Your idea would be a poor man's way to better traction, but seems like it would be pretty heavy.

Like wearing snow boots for a marathon...

Well couldnt you use a light material that is strong? Titanium?(I dont know what is light, but strong, and weldable.) Besides how much wider would you want the rims to be? burnout

i wish somone would make a 17x7 Slicer. i'd buy it in a heart beat. unless it was more expensive, or alot heavier than the 17x7 SVT thunderchicken rims.

I would actually like some 17x7 slicers... but without the interest, it would be way more than I would be willing to pay.

lol I dont get why you guys love the slicers so much. I mean yeah, they're a signature SHO-thing I understand that. But there are SO many aftermarket rims that look WAY better than slicers that you can get for the SHO! Just my opinion. beer

ive seen the wheel extension thing done on a volvo, and yes i would indeed need to be welded. i say GO FOR IT, its an awesome idea. i hate driving behind my dads SHO because the tires look SO wimpy i also hate how the back wheels hide under the fender. i know you would need a lot of fender re-engineering to do that, but its just my thought of what would look better.
