Just curious as to what others may have used as a solution, besides using hangers and what not, to fixing something like this? I see many SHOs with this problem...
Mt Mocha is doing the same thing. However, my mom hit the back of my bumper and muffler with our huge riding lawn mower! The weld between the hanger, and muffler is about broken. A re-weld, and new rubber SHOuld fix it up.
No disrespect intenended in any way because that plus sounds sounds like a really fine ride but damn, all that work, mods, plus nitrous on that 91+ and you get less than a 1 second boost ....ouch!
Had the same problem with my 1990. I used a large radiator hose clamp that I had laying around to wrap around the old worn out rubber. Tightening it pulled it all back into place and it lasted 6 months until I replaced both mufflers.
Get a pry bar and pry that hook deal that is welded on the muffler into a better position. I had this problem and rigged it up until I had an exhaust shop work on my car for something else and I told him if he could look into that and fix it, 15 seconds later it was good to go!
