Hey everybody. Sorry I don't have any pics for yall yet but I've had my hands a bit full with this car.
I love this car but, Geez, is it ever slow!! REALLY SLO! Not right kind of slow. My girlfriends carolla has got me beat! Ok, now that we are all on the same page, any ideas? This is what I have discovered:
Pump, regulator and fuel pressure OK.
Maf, well, it's just as slow with it disconnected.
Butterflies are operating properly
Plugs look good and good compression
No more codes, ignition is OK
Swapped PCMs with the 89 motor for fun.
Nothing unusual
The previous owner replaced the water pump before I bought the car. Does this require removing the timing belt? If so, I think my cam timing may be way off. I have a little power from 4K to about 5K but then it cant even reach 7K and it's totally gutless after 5K. Ideas??

).. so i pulled the whole unit out. But if you just replace the fron half then no, it comes out easier.
