Hey guys, I own a 98 taurus and it is getting some yellow spots on the bottom of the side skirts in the back where the wheels are.

How do I go about fixing this? I just bought this car from my dad and I don't think he ever even waxed it.

I would really like to keep this car for a long time and don't want it to turn into a rust bucket.

well it could be a sign of rust but i would problem remove the side skirts and clean out any dirt trash etc that might be trapped in there and just take some soapy water and wash the spots it might just be caked on dirt not rust. my fenders on my 98 was like that and it was just dirt where i was not able to clean it when i washed the car.
