I was considering rust proofing my sho. Kinda hesitant about drilling holes and spraying that rustproofing stuff inside my doors with all the electronic connections in there. I live in Buffalo NY area and would like to do this but wanted to see if anyone has done this on their sho's.

I recently heard of this product called Fluid Film that a couple of people have used in interior surfaces such as you describe. No drilling. 3M rustproofing for underbody.

if you go for rust proofing, a lot of places like to impress you with how much they can spray under the hood where you can easily see it. Problem is, you have to live with that for the rest of time.
I would not do the sticky, one time for 10 years, application. I would look into the more liquid application that has to be repeated every year or two.

I had my 16 SHO done a few months ago by Ziebart. When I was a kid my dad had his cars done by them all the time and as I got to be older they are still around and I've had numerous cars done. I live in the rust belt and cars still do rust out although it might take longer they do. The product they use has changed and what they put in the doors and cavities is different from the underside. The new stuff on the underside does not stay sticky like it use to. It dries black almost like a heavy paint. I changed the oil a few days ago and the quality of their application was first rate. The place I went has been in business for 30 years so the people that apply what ever you get is VERY VERY important..

I don't know if this is a Ford Dealer thing or not, but when I got my SHO I bought the extra rust-proofing but I've always been hesitant about this too! I've heard the Pros and Cons such as it can actually trap moisture, etc. But the second they say it's guaranteed for life and any part of the car rusts, its free repair.... SOLD!
