Running Rich?!!

Im curious to what factors of the engine/sensors or just anything, would cause the engine to run rich??....I can smell the unburned gas after taking off while sitting at a light...i've finally figured out my cooling issue and a new fuel pump is on the way...stock MAF and "Y" pipe is on, so curious to what else would cause it to run rich, all suggestions/questions/or any comments are appreciated..thanx all!!!

Pretty much any sensor that controls anything to do with the fuel system in anyway. Your car will go in limp mode and feed more fuel to protect itself. If you are having problems you can always see if there are code that may tell you what sensor is causing an issue.

Ran Codes

Well i've run the codes, cylinder pressure test etc:....KOEOFF>>511<KOER>>116 and 157...changed out the MAF, and got a new ECT sensor, just haven't put it in...and to add a factor to the equation...my idle is staying high after letting out clutch/gear at a light..stays up near 2K :ruhroh: drops but suddenly picks itself back up to 2K again...WAT D **** can that mean???... :ruhroh: ...i feel that whatever is causing these issues is the main concern with my freshed 60K engine right now<>i.e>>engine runnin hot, miss around 3KRPM while accelerating or underload and it runnin rich w/a high idle...all help is VERY VERY appreciated!!! thanx to allagain...
