Does the fan come on when it should? I know if the ECT goes bad it can cause your car to run rich cause the computer will think it is always running cold.

You've replaced just about everything but the MAF,02's, and the DIS. I'm thinking it's either the MAF or 02's. My brothers car was doing something similar and we replaced his MAF and it fixed the problem. I've got one if you want it :thumb:

1) Tested by unplugging MAF, starting car, ran ok for a few minutes then ran like crap (worse than it does now)

2) Chris: how much for the MAF if I decide I want it?

3) anybody have a good DIS for sale? I noticed a nice big crack in the spot where the connectors clip on.

Thanks again guys!

I'm pulling the ECT tonight, I'm sick of this problem. I'm going to do a big once over and see what else I can clean\tighten etc etc. I'll let you know.

Anyone had any luck unplugging the ect and forcing the car into limp mode? Will that work?

Just trying to get home safe tonight!

Yes!!! Problem Fixed

I just got back in the house after swapping all my parts. New ECT and T-Stat. The SHO is back in action!!!!!!! It started up, fired perfectly, warmed up, I took her for a spin and HOLY CRAP!!! the old girl runs great! Stupid $25 part was causing all my recent problems! It sure feels good to have figured it out and not chased my tail and bought a ton of other parts like I usually do!

Anyway, I am just really happy that the car is running like it should! Time to sell it! LOL

Thanks for all your help guys, once again this forum and its members have saved my bacon (not to mention my cash!)
