With my overheat problems, a friend mentioned I could maybe run the system lean on antifreeze. What kind of mix can you use lower than 50-50 to keep the anti-corrosion properties?

I live in Tampa, so I don't really need full anti-FREEZE protection! Can you get other additives like wetting agents to use with water instead of normal anti-freeze?

20% and you can use some of the surface tension reducer stuff too more effectively at that concentration.

We go 50-50 here in Quebec , but we really got HARSH winters.

more then that will damage the alloys-gaskets-corrosion.

More theres coolant in the water , more itll prevent boiling-overheating.

But sometimes you might have another issue (EX:thermostat) that might not even connected to the coolant itself.
