Hi,

Just wondering how all you who are running these great and inexpensive wires, ($68 vice $232 for Ford ones), for the front three plugs. I could not get them to fit through the spaces the same way the old ones were run. I have them run, but it doesn't look pretty. The back three were difficult but I got them. The only way I can see this working is by removing the uper manifold and I don't want to do that.

Any ideas would help.

You can run them correctly without removing it, but it takes a long time.

Just remove the manifold, it won't take long. There are step by step instructions on SHOPP, in the maintenance/upper 60k section.

I also am running AC Delco wires, but I got them for $40 from Rockauto.

OWNED :D

Those WR-4033 Motorcraft plug wires are US$99.99 from FordPartsNetwork.com. Still a good deal for wires that fit both the 3.0L and 3.2L SHO engines and are known to fit and work properly for a good 120,000 miles.

I went with the Motorcrafts from FPN also.
Just remove the intake. You'll get to clean her up and see what all is under there.
I was afraid to mees with it my first time, but now I will take the intake off just for cleaning.

The last time I replaced wires on my SHO I had to do it with the intake on the engine because if another stripped bolt..I don't know who torqued them down before but jeez. I used the AC/Delcos and it was a PITA to get them through without messing them up; but I got 'er done.

I reccomend removing the intake like the others have said. Gives you a chance to see how dirty it is anyway. If it's a Cali car or an ATX you'll wanna clean out the EGR ports while it's off anyway. If you do the throttle-body coolant bypass it will make future removals of the intake even easier.

My AC Delco wires fit perfectly. No problems at all... I did have the intake removed to replace them though.
