Hi ! i'm a new member and i just buy a 95 SHO atx.......so i register to this club!

i just got the car and it's in perfect condition (for a car that run in canada ....here we got the best winter )

here is my problem, the car have the check engine light up and give the code for a bad 02 sensor, the o2 was change, but the problem continue...the guy at ford tell me that it could be the wire of the 02....can this be?...

i know that a SHO runnig rich can lead to catalytic problem that can destroy the motor...

could it be a thermostat problem or another sensor....does anyone got the same problem as me?

thank

Welcome to the forum!

Please supply us with the actual code your SHO is storing. There are 2 O2 sensors. And if there is a "true rich" situation, meaning that both O2s are reading rich then the sensors are more than likely just fine.

Question time:

How is your gas mileage?

There are a few sensors that would lead to a bad air-fuel mix.

ECT Engine coolant temp sensor
ACT Air charge temp sensor

How warm on the dash gauge is the temp getting? How long does it take to get up to temp? And how does the gauge respond in stop-go, and highway driving? This could tell us how well the cooling system is working. Wether it be T-stat... or somthing else.
