What makes you say, or think, that they are "supposed to" as if it's like mandatory somehow?

Well when I purchased the car I was told they had run flats and apparently they aren't. Thought all SHO come with the same tires. Was just asking

No they did not. Not sure about 2010-12 but 2013+ PP had summer tires but not run flats

The SHO's never came with run flats. No matter the model year.

Someone gave you incorrect info there Sir Allecrop.

In fact, some '10-'12's were outfitted with some craptastic Michelin's that exhibited premature wear/failure that weren't even getting covered under warranty. Crazy I tell 'ya.

Anyhow, run flats are certainly something you can easily add if you should desire.

Either way, still a great car overall !

One thing about run-flats that keeps me away from them. A co-worked with a BMW had them - every time he hit a ***-hole, it was the same thing - the sidewall would tear and the tire would have to be replaced.

Now, that BMW had some pretty hard sport-suspension, but even still, he had 4 or 5 failures in a 6 month period driving in Metro NY. Never lost air pressure except when he tore the sidewall ;)

I have a 15. love the car. Glad I got the rim and tire package. It has goodyears on it. After 5000 miles there was split in the tire on the sidewall. Same thing now at 23000 miles and I was told that the tires are dry rotted too

Maybe I am looking in the wrong place, but I did not find run flats that will fit. I have the PP without a spare so I gave run flats some serous consideration. I am not due for tires yet so I did not search real hard, but I did look. I know I have the pump and all but if I could find a sporty run flat that would give me a little more confidence when I head out of town.

That seems to be somewhat common and I know a lot of the BMW guys get away from run flats do to it. They also tend to ride horrible because of the super stiff sidewalls

I hear you, the pump won't help with sidewall tears or larger leaks and the fix a flat juice can mess up TPMS sensors., I did add a plug kit and have used it already with the air pump instead of the fix a flat. Still doesn't help in a sidewall or major issue but I don't have to use the fix a flat.

- I have heard that suggestion and gave it some consideration, I am sure I will regret this, but I have pretty much accepted the fact I will be calling for a flat bed and spending an extra night on the road one day.

Depending on the flat you may be dealing with that regardless. For $5 it was worth it to me. My first time using it was straightforward, I have seen nails/screws/etc that are tough to find and tough to get out of the tire to plug which can turn into just as much of a hassle trying to fix on the side of the road than getting a tow. I do have a few small tools I keep in the car including channel lock pliers and snips to help.

Being up in NW-Pa I keep 1 snow in the rear for emergencies, not crazy about the pump and sealent. Might take up space but keeps my sanity when traveling

The times where I would really want a spare are usually when I am road tripping to SC and can't spare the room, no pun intended.

You could always find a spare tire and jack kit in a junkyard. I've always wanted to do this but keep putting it off.

I have a brand new, never used spare, free for the taking.

I can locate the jack and whatnot as well, just need to rummage through the shelves in the garage.

Now that I have my massive custom audio build installed, there's no way in **** I'll ever chuck it into the car ever again.

Besides, with the massive 15" rotors and big brake kit from Wilwood, I'd never be able to fit 'em onto the car itself.

Prefer pick up in CHI-Town area. However, if end user pays for packaging & shipping entirely, I'll entertain that too for a fellow SHO owner in need.
