During the recent cold weather snap, I've noticed that my car will sometimes make a slight clunk when shifting into overdrive. It's fine in the other gears and doesn't do it all the time. I haven't looked at the fluid yet but it seems strange to only do this into overdrive.

2013 SHO, btw.

Well my first suggestion you listed - check the oil level. I assume its not just when the car is warming up, but after its been running? Getting any codes? Mounts and their condition?

No codes. Mounts are all original and appear to be fine. I'll check the fluid tomorrow as the temps are supposed to be tolerable.

cold weather will do odd things but so will a weak battery. i would check battery health v/cca when the fluid check is done.

usually a transmission clunk is from the torque mount or the solenoid body assembly.

may be as simple as fluid not warm enough. trans fluid takes a lot longer than the engine to warm up.
