Any information regarding the overall condition, parts replacements, service history and any other symptoms like noises or info on just how the rough it is running and when would be greatly appreciated. We could guess all day long, but with the minimal information you have provided, don't expect to get any detailed answers.

It could be anything from a spark plug wire cross fire to a dropped valve. More data would help narrow down the possibilities.

Sorry over all the motor is in good shape. Although it does have 236,000
miles on it. I was planing on a 60k as soon as I could. The rpm,s at idle go back and forth from 1k to 2k. under hard acceleration it tries to go but spudders and pops.

a bad negative battery contact will cause this. the computer is constantly relearning, thus causing the RPM fluctuation at idle.
