I have a 93 ATX, I am having problems with rough idle and bucking at steady throttle but only at low RPM. Over 3000 seems to run fine.
I replaced the IAC, cleaned the MAF sensor.
I pulled the codes and it said "does not detect EGR valve opening". The EGR valve is pretty new and without much carbon build up and i cleaned the EGR passage port in the intake, but symptoms remain. The codes also said weak # three cylinder, the wires have around 40,000 miles on them, Would a bad wire cause these symptoms?

Have you checked your plug wells for oil? And yes a bad wire could do this.

Maybe you have a fouled plug in Cylinder 3. How about your coil, how old is it?
