Car ran fine, went to start the Sho it started to misfire, also there is a smell of rotten eggs from the exhaust. The misfire leaves when you raise the RPM, but back to idle the car misfires and the rotten egg smell begin. My daughter told me she drove thru some water , but the K&N filter was dry, the car has a cold air intake. What to check and look for . Help

Too much sulphur in your gas/bad gas is the usual culprit. Hopefully you only have a little bit left in the tank? Then you should get a fillup from a high-volume station.

a misfire after driving through water is usually due to water in the plug wells. you need to check that out and dry it out as it will ruin the plugs and wires on the affected cylinders.
