It's A SHO Thing
i am thinking about doing the 96 Brake upgrade and i was wondering when i purchase the rotors for it, is there anything i can do to prevent rusting on the rotor that doesnt touch the pads? rusty rotors just look terrible and i just dont want it to happen! Thx for the replys in advance!
I wonder if cadmium plating holds up better?
That's with polymatrix E pads which are a medium temperature pad. They're a lot more aggresive than the OEM ceramic type Ford pads on the 94's 96 brakes. Also a *lot* noisier and dustier. They can really get things hot in a hurry. I made the mistake of bedding in the pads on the 94's chromed slicers with all-seasons. When I came back from my bedding runs the chrome was blistered to ****.
Didn't see that coming. My new wheels weren't finished yet and I didn't want to abuse new tires if they had been ready so I decided to throw those slicers on. Oops.
